My Approach
Collaborative Innovation
I believe education thrives when we look beyond the classroom walls. My goal is to bring unique, real-world learning experiences to my students by actively collaborating with the wider community and industry partners. By bridging theory and real-world problem-solving, we create meaningful impact together.
Transferable Skills
Technology is evolving rapidly, but our human and transferable skills remain our greatest advantage. I empower students to strengthen the skills AI can't replace, including critical thinking, communication, creativity, collaboration, and discernment, so they use technology with purpose rather than dependence. By fostering transferable skills alongside a growth mindset, they leave prepared to thrive in a tech-driven world while contributing to the greater good.
About Me
I'm a passionate educator who believes learning should be meaningful, innovative, and deeply human. As a secondary teacher with the Waterloo Catholic District School Board, I create learning experiences that combine deep learning, emerging technologies, and authentic community connections to prepare students for a rapidly changing world.
Before becoming a teacher, I spent several years in the technology sector leading global user safety teams and delivering educational seminars on digital privacy and online safety. I also built my own health and wellness business, where I coached women on healthy living and published a cookbook.
Today, I bring those experiences into my classroom. Whether I'm partnering with community organizations, exploring new technologies, or guiding students through collaborative, real-world projects, my goal is to create learning that is engaging, purposeful, and lasting. I want every student to leave my classroom with the confidence, curiosity, and skills to make a meaningful difference in their community and beyond.
